Men’s Ring Sizing

Whether it’s a gift for someone else or a spoil yourself moment, our ring guides are here to make sure it’s the perfect fit. Use the sizing methods below to either measure your own ring size or to determine the size of someone else

MEN’S RING SIZE CHART

The first step you’ll want to take is using our printable men’s ring size chart to determine a rough ring size. Download and print this simple instructional guide – ensure that your printer is set at 100%.

Tips

  • When considering a wide band, move up a size from your measurement, for comforts sake. The thicker the ring, the tighter the fit.
  • Your ring size will be about half a size larger on your primary hand (i.e. the hand you write with).
  • If your knuckle is much larger than your finger’s base, take two separate measurements of both and choose a size in between. A ring should slide over the knuckle but not be too loose to slider around the finger.
  • You want a wedding band that slides over your knuckle and stays put without feeling tight or uncomfortable.
  • If you don’t have a printer, you can use string or floss to wrap around a ring finger and mark it with a pen to get a length which you can then measure with a ruler. Bear in mind with this that string can stretch!
  • Different countries have different ring-size systems – all sizes listed on this website are standard UK sizes.

Buying a ring as a gift

  • Ask your intended recipient’s mother or friend if they know his/her ring finger size.
  • Borrow one of your intended recipient’s rings (ensure that the ring fits the finger you intend to fit) and check the measurement against the same chart.
